I was in the middle of taking the pictures for tomorrow's post when this giant helicopter flew right over my head last Wednesday! Equipped as I was with a snazzy camera and a long lens, I couldn't resist getting a shot of it too. Pat tells me it's an Apache, and certainly helicopters like this are a common sight around here, surrounded as we are by military bases. This particular pilot appeared to be practicing take-offs and landings.
