"Trees are your best antiques." So said the Scottish poet Alexander Smith, and this tree proves his point. Have you ever come across a beautiful, big, old tree in the middle of summer, and yearned to stop everything and just sit under its canopy? This is that kind of tree, and you can find it in the Heritage Gardens in Monument Valley Park, just north of the duck pond. It's simply enormous, with strong branches that stretch out utterly symmetrically from its sturdy trunk, forming a perfect shelter. It's wonderful to wander underneath it and just sit. I once photographed a wedding under this tree. It was beautiful.
The view from under its branches. Wonderful!

It certainly looks massive. It reminds me of a tree here in one of the parks that really spreads out its branches and provides great shelter in rain.
