I have been intrigued by Seeds Community Café for some time now. It's a restaurant, yes, but it's also a revolutionary way to feed the hungry. I think the best way to describe it is a "restaurant that's also a charity." The concept of Seeds is that the food doesn't have specific prices; instead, you pay what you feel is appropriate for your meal (suggested donation is $15). If you can't pay, you can volunteer to work there. All the food is as locally sourced as possible, and by all accounts it's delicious. You'd think that a system like what Seeds is doing wouldn't work, but it's been there for quite a while and it seems to be doing just fine. I'll have to drop in there and check it out someday soon!
