I purposely keep this little blog as apolitical as possible, but I have to say that the presidential election is getting to me. REALLY getting to me. I can barely take it anymore. The constant arguing, the disgusting behavior from people we look to as our leaders. Appalling things being said on social media. Like THIS guy. It doesn't matter which side you're on in this battle; there's no excuse for that kind of talk from our elected or appointed officials. It's utterly reprehensible, but unfortunately it's become our new normal and I hate it. Only six days to go and this nightmare will be over. (Although I'm sure another nightmare will rear its ugly head in the election's wake -- I refuse to think about the fallout, it's going to be ugly no matter what, unfortunately.)
I am trying to find pleasure in the little things, like this golden, perfectly backlit leaf that I noticed in my landlord's yard moments after taking yesterday's Theme Day photo. I love fall! Let's just focus on the little things for the next few days, shall we? Find a happy place!

It is the ugliest campaign I have ever followed.
It's awful. I feel the same way you do. Your photo is lovely.
Amen! KT
I can hear the crunch of those leaves. You hit the nail right on the head about his election. It's absolutely mean spirited and pathetic.
I'm old enough to remember when Goldwater was running. That was frightening! But yes, this campaign is ugly. And it may get worse.
A lovely shot, Tamera. Yes, this campaign has been ugly. I fear it'll get worse after the fact.
Miller needs a serious punch in the face. Disgusting.
