Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Here's a moment I captured in my garden on September 30th, and as you can see, it had been raining. Sunshine has been rare the last few weeks. Nothing but damp! I don't make a practice of complaining about the weather -- after all, you can't change it -- but honestly I've had enough rain and chill for now, yet there seems to be no end in sight. Pat remarked earlier this evening that we are actually getting fall. By that he meant autumnal weather, and he's right. Cloudy, dark, damp, chilly. This is highly unusual! We almost always have a bright, sunny, warm and mellow September-October. Hands down it's my favorite time of year, because it's lovely and so enjoyable. I didn't recognize the current gloom as "fall" because I've lived here for so long that I forgot that's how it is practically everywhere else that has four seasons. Ha ha!

Well hopefully we won't have an actual freeze for another couple of weeks yet. My giant heirloom tomatoes are still on the vine and working mightily to ripen before that happens. Come on tomatoes! You can do it!

Lovely shot!

We haven't had a frost as of yet here, but the overnight temperatures are getting cooler and cooler.
