Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Stuck in traffic... sigh.

I was stuck in traffic on Woodmen Road the other day (and I mean really stuck), when I looked to my left and saw this. They are doing a major roadworks project on this stretch of Woodmen, and it looks like these trees are set to be planted along the side of the road. That should give some respite from the traffic noise to the people who live in the little unincorporated neighborhood north of Woodmen. BTW I had no idea that you could plant dormant trees in winter like this. I'm a gardener but not an arborist. I guess you learn something new every day. 😺

P.S. Sorry if this photo looks a little blurry. I think I may have broken that lens again. Oh well. It was good while it lasted.

You'd think they'd wait until spring.

That's what I thought too! But I guess they know what they're doing. Maybe I can go back to that spot in spring and take a picture to show the progress,
