Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The river wild

Cruising along Highway 50 on my way home from the mountains a couple of weekends ago, I kept my eye on the Arkansas River, which follows the road (or more like vice versa, I suppose). I was hoping to see either some whitewater rafters or fly fishers at a convenient spot for me to pull over and get a snapshot. I saw plenty of both, but had no chance to stop the car safely. Finally, somewhere around Cotopaxi, I saw my opportunity. The river wasn't exactly "wild" in this spot, but these people still looked like they were having a fun time. And they were probably grateful for the nice, cool water, since it was about 96° out there.
