Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Cowpokes

I much prefer the Garden of the Gods between October and April, when there are fewer people about. I have to admit that sometimes it's just a tiny bit annoying living in such a touristy place. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the visitors we get, it's just a drag when they obliviously wander into your pictures! But these little cowpokes were cute, so I guess I'll forgive them. You have to look close to see them -- there are two on the left side of the frame wearing big cowboy hats and playing on Balancing Rock, and a third kiddo is hanging out under Steamboat Rock. They looked like they were having fun.

I see one of the two at the left, as well as the person hidden behind the gap, but not the second of the pair. Terrific shot!

The first one is clearly seen against the blue sky on Balancing Rock at far left; just to the right of him is another little boy wearing a white hat and crouching down. He's hard to see because there's a shadow over him. Then there's an adult behind the same rock (you can just see a silhouetted section of their torso). On the other side of the road there's a third child in white playing in the notch of Steamboat Rock.
