Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Here's Fountain Creek rushing toward downtown Manitou Springs on December 11th. How's your Christmas shopping coming along? I'm nearly finished, just two more gifts to buy. I heard on the news tonight that tomorrow is called Super Saturday; that is, the last shopping Saturday before Christmas. They are predicting a bit of snow in Colorado Springs, but our hardy shoppers probably won't notice the chill. Let's help our small business owners have a red letter day -- spend your money locally, friends, even if it's just one gift out of all the ones you buy! As for me, I will be shooting a wedding at the Broadmoor. Have a great weekend, everyone!

A lovely waterway.

No ice yet? No shards, no splinters....no pieces. Is this usual? Maybe in January. Thanks for your work here.

It never gets quite cold enough here to freeze running water, but our lakes and ponds do freeze (though not usually completely). If you get more up into the mountains, you'll see completely frozen lakes, and some frozen creeks and waterfalls. Colorado Springs is actually relatively warm in the winter, considering our altitude!
