Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

January 2019 Theme Day: Photo of the Year

Happy New Year! I hope you didn't party too much last night, no one wants to start a new year with regrets and a hangover! Ha ha! (But if you do have a hangover, I can assure you from dire past experience that Alka Seltzer works like magic to make you feel better in a jiffy. Oh what a relief it is, and all that. 😉) For City Daily Photo bloggers, today is the day that we post our favorite or best photo from the previous year. In the past I've always posted a handful of images, usually because I find it hard to narrow it down to a single shot. But like last year, today I decided to choose just one. Thankfully it was an easy task, because for me, this photo of the Milky Way during the Perseid meteor shower taken just before midnight on August 11th is incredibly beautiful. I take no credit -- the Milky Way is truly an awesome and humbling sight! I blogged this photo on August 13th, and it has stood out among all the many other (mostly mediocre) photos I posted both before and after it.

Yes. That should be the winner. A beautiful photo. And thanks again for your work. Not only do you post photos, but you provide your own comments on the experience....
Best wishes for the new year.
