This crow was in our yard the other day, cawing loudly and enthusiastically to the other neighborhood birds. I noticed it had a distinct, repeating pattern: "CAW CAW CAW CAW!" followed by a five second pause, then "CAW CAW CAW CAW!" again. It makes you wonder what it was communicating. I have no doubt that birds have their own very intricate, precise language that will always be a mystery to us humans.
