Here I am, blogging all out of sequence! I should have put this photo at the beginning of this series, but I forgot, so I'm sticking it here in the middle of things. This picture was taken in Winslow, Arizona, on the first day of our road trip. We stopped there just long enough to get a couple of snapshots at Standin' on the Corner Park. Surely you're familiar with "Take it Easy", the Eagles song that name checks Winslow, Arizona:
Well, I'm a-standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona
Such a fine sight to see
It's a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford
Slowin' down to take a look at me
So here you have a corner in downtown Winslow, Arizona, plus a flatbed Ford with a figure of a woman in it. There's also a statue of Glenn Frey on the right and Jackson Browne on the left (they co-wrote the song), and in the mural there are a few little visual references to the song. And now it'll be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. You're welcome! See you tomorrow with some pictures of Vegas, baby!
And now, for your viewing pleasure:
