Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Today I helped my friend Steve shoot a wedding in Denver (hence the late-at-night post -- it was a long day). I was very intrigued by this interesting old building on the corner of 18th and Sherman. Apologies for the wonky photo. I was on duty and quickly grabbed this shot as I was dashing to the car to go from the hotel where everyone was getting ready to the ceremony site. That building in the background with the gold cupola is the state capitol. As for the interesting building with all the minarets (or are they onion domes? I'm too exhausted to tell the difference), I have no idea! And unfortunately it's just going to have to remain a mystery, at least for now, because I am a Very Tired Lady and instead of poking around the internet for info, I am going to do the sensible thing and hit the sack. Good night!

Edit: as soon as I posted this my curiosity got the better of me, so I looked it up, which only took a minute or two. Apparently this cool building is called the Mosque of the El Jebel Shrine, and now I really am going to bed so if you want to know more about it, click HERE.
