We have wasps in our backyard, and it has become a bit of a problem in the last few weeks as Pat's been working on an extensive outdoor project. He nuked the nest repeatedly with wasp killer, which eliminated a lot of them but also resulted in him getting stung several times (it turns out they don't like getting sprayed with wasp killer very much, go figure). Ouch! And no matter how many of them Pat killed, there always seemed to be more. Finally I decided to try a wasp trap. I placed it in our backyard yesterday afternoon, and within a couple of minutes, wasps were swarming around it. This photo was taken moments after I hung it up. Fascinating! It has some kind of pheromone that they apparently find irresistible. I'll be interested to see if this takes care of the problem once and for all.
