Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Dunderhead

While doing some senior portraits at Helen Hunt Falls last week, my client and I needed to wait for the background to be free of people before I could take a shot of her. Even at this time of year, this place gets lots of visitors. There's a sign on the creek bank cautioning you to stay out of the water but no one does. If you're going to ignore the sign, the worst place to try for that Instagram-worthy photo is right where this man is. Those rocks are awkwardly shaped and slippery -- if you fall, you could end up with a bad concussion! As you can see, he was struggling to keep his balance. The best place to enter the water is near where I was standing to take this picture. For some reason the rocks become smaller and more manageable the farther you get from the falls.
