Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Namesake

I took a stroll around CC the other day and snapped some pictures of a few of my favorite historic buildings. This one's called Cutler Hall and it was the first structure built on the brand new college campus in the late 1870s. It was known as Palmer Hall, after our city's founder, until another structure on campus took that name; it was then rechristened Cutler Hall, after philanthropist Henry Cutler. It never occurred to me until now that Mount Cutler in Cheyenne Canon must be named after the same guy.
