Shooks Run

I learned something new just now! Here's the little brook that runs through Shooks Run Park. I've never known what it was called and I've never pondered the name of the park, either. Tonight when researching the name of the creek for this blog post, I discovered that it's called Shooks Run, and the park is named after it. Duh! It's so funny to me that I never knew that, especially since I actually lived in the Shooks Run neighborhood long ago (more than once, even), and many of my friends still do. I guess you learn something new every day.
