The garden in front of our house, next to the driveway, needs attention because we had a large clump of trees cut down in that spot last year, leaving some bare spots. Alas, this hasn't been at the top of my priority list lately, but at least the plants that survived the upheaval are reveling in the extra sunlight they've been getting. They had spent many years in dappled shade, so this year they're growing exuberantly. The bees and butterflies have taken notice.

Very colourful!
And you can hope they'll just spread into the bare spots. That way, you can keep it a low priority if it's more pleasant to do that.
