Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

We Have Got a Situation

A tomato situation, that is. I'm having a very good year for tomatoes in my garden and they're ripening apace. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are more than I can eat! (And Pat doesn't like them, so it's up to me.) I've been giving them away. They are so lovely and delicious, it's almost painful to give hand them off to friends and family but it'd be even worse if they went to waste. I see canning in my near future, it's unavoidable. And gazpacho!

Having hated canning from my childhood in hot Texas summers, when I gardened I resorted to freezing tomatoes. It works. Green peppers too, as I recall. Too many tomatoes. What a lovely problem to have!
