I've been known to occasionally use test shots from my various photo shoots as filler for the blog. Lately that happens an awful lot. Behold, an utterly terrible, boring and never-meant-for-the-blog lighting test from some senior portraits I did in a gritty alley in Old Colorado City a couple of weeks ago. Honestly, I am so tired. This thing where I work 40 hours a week at a corporate day job and try to run my (previously full time, in the days before Covid) photography business is getting old. I have almost no free time, and that includes time for sleep. It's a miracle that I get to the blog at all! Going back to corporate America in August of 2020 was a huge adjustment, and as my business has slowly recovered this year, I'm finding it harder and harder to have a personal life. Moreover, I feel like Click Photography is rebuilding at an unnecessarily slow pace because I don't have the energy to put into the nuts and bolts of the business. So last week I finally decided to go part time at my day job. What a huge relief! Now I'll be able to devote energy to my small business again, keep up with shoots and orders, AND have a life. Maybe I'll even find time to do the things I love again, like reading, knitting and sewing. And maybe I won't have to bore you with test shots like this one quite so often. We shall see! Wish me luck!

Best of luck! The pandemic has been quite a ride! Katie
It sounds like a good decision.
Thanks guys! Coming from a place of pure exhaustion, I definitely feel like this was a good decision. :^)
