I mentioned the other day that I've been on the hunt for a new studio space. I was checking out a possibility last week in Old Colorado City above the Squash Blossom (the jury's still out on whether or not it fits the bill) and I had a few minutes to browse the goodies in the gallery before I was shown around. It's been years since I've been inside there, mostly because -- though I do appreciate it -- I'm not a collector of southwestern art or jewelry. So I was pleasantly surprised at the quantity of modern, not-southwestern-at-all jewelry on display. I gallantly managed to keep my mind on the task at hand despite the immediate temptation! I did, however, get a picture for you of some pieces that caught my eye. If you're looking for designer jewelry for your significant other (or yourself) this holiday season, I recommend you pop in there and check it out. Just gorgeous stuff!
