Actually it's not a road, it's a street -- 30th Street, that is, and what you're looking at is the main entrance to the Garden of the Gods Park. This city has gone bonkers for traffic circles (or roundabouts as they're called in other parts of the world). They're everywhere now, and honestly I question the wisdom of that since many Colorado Springs drivers seem to be a little unsure of how exactly to navigate them! The entrance to the park can definitely get congested during tourist season, but why not just put a traffic signal there? Instead, they are tearing up the road and putting in a traffic circle, which means that this section of 30th Street is going to be a hot mess for months. As you can see, a big chunk of it is completely closed off for now.
