A closer view of the obelisk in yesterday's post. There are two of them and they light up after sunset. I don't usually hang out at America the Beautiful Park at night so it's been a while since I've seen them lit up, but if I recall correctly the light changes color every few seconds.

You wonder what the ancient Egyptians would have thought of one of these illuminated.
