Among the many beautiful, historic Victorians in our Old North End, there are surprisingly a few fantastic midcentury modern homes. This one on Alamo and Fontanero is a personal favorite.

The architect's name is Jan Ruhtenberg. He worked with Mies Van der Rohe and Philip Johnson. He designed a lot of buildings here in town. I just learned about him a couple of years ago.
