Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Divine Redeemer Art Walk (Part 1)

I've been taking lots of pictures for the blog, but have scarcely had any time to deal with them, let alone write blog posts! Thankfully the avalanche of work that I've been buried under for the last few months is starting to dissipate, so tonight I found myself with small window of opportunity to devote to the blog. Whew! A couple of weekends ago I had exactly one hour to hang out with my friend JB, and we spent it browsing through through the booths at the Divine Redeemer Art Walk. This charming micro neighborhood is called Divine Redeemer because there's a Catholic school and church by the same name within its boundaries. Anyway, we had a good time and I bought some jewelry that I probably didn't need but couldn't resist. More tomorrow!

This booth featured hand forged cutlery made by this guy. I only wish I needed a chef's knife, because his work was fantastic.
As I was admiring the beautiful knives, this woman suddenly exclaimed, "Hey, I know you!" And she was right -- I shot her senior portraits way back in 2006, and before that I did her brother's senior portraits in about 2002 (I think). Her name is Leah, and now look at her, she's even more gorgeous than she was before!
