Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Dead, but Not Really

I was at Palmer Lake on Saturday afternoon to take some family portraits, and since the lake is frozen and all the trees are bare, I employed some tall grasses along the shoreline to help camouflage the starkness of it all. This was just a test shot to gauge the light, but I might as well put it to good use on the blog! These grasses look dead, but they're not really. They're just dormant and will green right back up again in the spring, just like clockwork.

They do look good in a dormant state.
