Alas, indeed. I came across these guys working on felling a very tall pine tree in the Old North End today. I hate to see such a beautiful, mature tree come down, but you can see how close it is to that house. I'm sure it was a tough sacrifice for the homeowner to make.

Such, unfortunately, is the way of things.
After the snow we got in November thousands of trees collapsed because of the very heavy snow.
