Walking with Pat and Frodo in Monument Valley Park last weekend, we were startled by an ATV that went barreling past. Very incongruous with all the walkers, runners and cyclists enjoying the day -- motorized vehicles are strictly verboten in the park.

Years ago my friend Jim told a couple of motorcyclists to stop driving in the national park. He took a few photos of them. As a thank you they beat him up and stole his camera. Later he found the camera on a rock. They had deleted the photos on the memory card but he managed to restore the photos and gave them to the police.
Yes, but typical of the mindset of those who drive those. It's all "me, me, me."
