Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. Barr Lake State Park (Part 5)

Here are the last of my pictures from our afternoon at Barr State Park. As we were walking back to the parking lot, an eagle suddenly swooped overhead and did a couple of loop-de-loops. It was so exciting to see one up close! I had a shorter lens on my camera than the one I used for the pictures I showed you a couple of days ago, but it's also far superior, so I managed to get exactly one shot of the eagle and it's nice and sharp. Beautiful bird!

I believe these are brown headed cowbirds.

The moon as we were driving away.

I visited a nature reserve with a friend. One of my favorite places. It was his first time there. We also spotted eagles. One was sitting up a tree and took off when it noticed us. We walked up to a lookout point from where you can see the archipelago. We walked through an oak landscape. My friend was in awe for a long time after that visit.

So you finally got an eagle photo you are satisfied with. Good. Nice moon too. Glad you had a good time!
