Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

What's That Sound?

A cruise through the Sisters of Saint Francis Abbey wouldn't be complete without coming across a deer or two. It's pretty much guaranteed -- the place is lousy with them! I do enjoy seeing any kind of wildlife and will usually stop the car to try and get a picture, even if I'm in a hurry to get somewhere. This doe (who looked like she might be pregnant) was framed so prettily between the trees with the church in the background, how could I not? She ignored me at first, but then must have noticed that the sound of my car's motor wasn't receding because she looked up and stared at me for a good twenty seconds before making a u-turn and wandering off.

And now, for your listening pleasure...

Oh my. Haven't heard that song in a long time. Reverberates. 50+ years ago. Whoa. Really. Whoa.
Meanwhile, apart from inner turmoil, ha, deer have become part of the suburban landscape in TX. End up being appropriate parts of Nativity Scenes at Christmas, as long as they hang around.
