Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

It's the Bookmobile!

Remember the Bookmobile? Do you have happy childhood memories of it? I do! Today on the way to my studio I drove right past this awesome bus, and made an immediate U-turn so I could grab a picture. Then I couldn't resist -- I went inside and checked out a book. I'm a very, very avid reader and I use my library card frequently and enthusiastically, but lately it seems to be more of a download-it-and-read-it-on-the-Kindle thing rather than checking out a physical book. That's because I tend to read late at night, which means when I finish a book it's the wee hours and no library is open. As soon as I finish reading a book I start on a new one, so downloading is the only way to go when it's 1:00 AM. Still, I have no problem at all with books on paper and it's nice to get away from screens, you know? The one I chose today was The Rising Tide by Ann Cleeves. I've only just cracked it open and it's already a page turner. What are you reading right now?

Ha. did you ever get to Isabella Bird and her ride over the Rockies?
I swore I wouldn't ask you ever again about it. But I have.
At present, I am looking for more books to read (laid up with a broken knee cap) but mostly I like biographies and memoirs. Any of those you could recommend?
