At the end of last month, Pat and I drove out to Falcon to pick up some plants for my veggie garden. The person giving us the plants, Heather, lives on a ranch out there and only asked for horse treats as payment. I had never met her in person before; we're acquainted via a Facebook group for gardeners in our area. She turned out to be a really cool chick! As it turns out, not only is she a very avid gardener, she rescues horses and we got to meet a few of them. I'm sorry but I've forgotten this horse's name. What a beauty, though. Even though I have loved them from afar since I was a little kid, I've had very limited contact with horses in my life and thus I'm slightly intimated by them, but Heather's ponies were friendly and gentle. It was such a pleasure to spend a little time with these beautiful animals.
