The Colorado Springs area, and probably much of this entire part of the US, has been enduring a grasshopper invasion over the last couple of years. Thankfully these jerks aren't too rampant at our house, but plenty of people around here have seen their gardens decimated by the voracious plague for two summers in a row now. I'm not really bothered by insects, but grasshoppers and moths give me the creeps. And I'm definitely not a fan of killing anything, but when I see one of these buggers I have been known to stomp on them even though it makes me queasy to do that. They suck!
