Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Down the Rabbit Hole

On Saturday I had a portrait shoot in Old Colorado City. I had told my clients that it would be relatively quiet since tourist season hasn't started yet, and I was very wrong -- the place was thronging with people. Upon closer inspection I noticed that a lot of them were dressed in sort of Alice in Wonderland cosplay getups, so I stopped a passerby and asked what was going on. It turns out that it was Mad Hatter Saturday! Certainly I would have loved to wander around Bancroft Park and capture all the cool outfits, but I was on the clock. I did manage to grab a snap of these two, though. I'll try to get ahead of this event next year so I can be part of the fun with a camera in hand.

Yes, that sounds like a fun event for a photographer.

There are all kind of people, aren't there?

@Jack my thought was "Who knew there were to many people in Colorado Springs that are into Alice in Wonderland?" Ha! I mean there were SO MANY people at this thing and a lot of them were in costume. Weird! (In a good way!)
