Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Mountain Pass # 2

On Wednesday, Pat and I drove west to Independence Pass just to get away for a few hours. We took our dog Frodo with us for good measure. To get to Independence Pass from here, you first need to go over two other mountain passes: Ute Pass and Wilkerson Pass. We always stop at the summit of Wilkerson Pass because there's a visitors center/gift shop and restrooms, and a little trail where you can take a hike or walk your dog. There's a wonderful view from up there, too. As you can see, the wildfire risk right now is very high in Colorado. Warning signs like the one below are everywhere on public land.
