Welcome to Fashion Week on the blog! As I explained in yesterday's post, I'll be blogging one fashionable person every day this week, ending on Saturday. Some of them are friends of mine, and others are random stylish people I've spotted out and about on the street. I'll kick off with my friend Lauren, who always looks chic! She has a great sense of proportion, pattern and color. Look how she pairs a patterned pencil skirt with a structured, edgy tweed vest and sleek ankle boots. And you probably can't see the detail of her blouse too well in this picture, but it's got a ruffles down the front. Her final personal touch is that great mix of jewelry. Not every woman could carry off this look, but Lauren does it with great confidence and panache.
And not only is she a style innovator, Lauren is, like me, a woman business owner. With her husband Brett she co-owns The ModBo, one of the most innovative art galleries in town. Certainly she's the most stylish gallery owner in Colorado Springs!
