The other day I came home to find these two characters on the front lawn, discussing interspecies diplomacy issues. The rabbit has been a regular visitor this spring and we sometimes give him carrots (because, obviously, he's adorable). And of course there are always plenty of crows around here, so I don't know which one of these guys feels the most proprietary about the front yard. It sure looked like they were having a serious discussion. Alas, before they were able to come to a mutually acceptable agreement, I had to barge in with my car and camera, ruining everything. They both stopped what they were doing and stared at me, then Mr. Crow gave me a couple of annoyed squawks and flew off in a huff. Let's hope, for all our sakes, that they've since been able to reconnoiter and come to some kind of peace accord.

I think we have some kind of synchronicity! Yesterday I saw a cardinal and a bunny having a conversation in our front yard here in Maryland! AND a day after you posted your gosling photo, I saw a mama goose with goslings by the side of the road. One of the goslings still had that yellow fuzz on it which you showed in your picture and I had not seen before. KT
