This mural lives on one of the turn of the century buildings in Old Colorado City, a district that was once the capital of Colorado (in frontier times) but now is pretty much the most touristy area of the Springs. Lots of cute shops selling Colorado t-shirts and baseball caps, but also a few funky boutiques and art galleries, plus a couple of legendary bars that are popular with west-siders. I think this particular building houses an art gallery. I was taking a shot of the mural for the blog, and I realized it was kind of a static, boring picture. So I asked Pat to run through the frame so I could get some kind of motion into the image. The joke is that he's running from the bear. Get it?

You two are nuts, that's too funny! Looks like it's Valentine's Day every day at your house. :o)
Tobbi, I think most of the galleries in Old Colorado City mostly sell "southwestern" art, nothing too avant garde.
Glad everyone got a kick out of this. Pat and I can't look at it without laughing. Run!
LOL! Great idea! You're lucky to have such a game model — my husband would just roll his eyes! ;D
