Spring has sprung!

A sure sign of spring in the Springs is the appearance of these lovely pink blossoms. You'll find these flowery trees all over the city, but they're especially concentrated around the downtown and west-side neighborhoods, and they're called eastern redbud (I think). Every year I look for them, and they really lift my spirits! They seem to have bloomed a little early this year. It must be because we've had a very mild and dry winter, with the exception of one obnoxiously cold snap in early February. The trees and plants are getting an early start. I'm okay with that!
