Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. The return of the Robin family

Mr. and Mrs. Robin have returned and are raising two babies this year! Or maybe it's three. It's hard to tell from this angle but I don't dare get any closer; Mrs. Robin divebombed my head when I went in the backyard to snap a picture of her little brood yesterday. She's such a good mother, protecting her babies! I've lost count of how many years running we've had baby robins on our kitchen greenhouse window. I just don't have the heart to remove the nest once they're finished with it every spring. I don't know that it would do any good anyway -- they'd probably just build a new one next year! Aren't their babies cute?

Excellent shot. They can be aggressive when protecting the nest!

I'm so jealous! I would never remove the nest. They are adorable!

It's now spring of 2012, are the Robins back?

They have not! Bummer! I finally asked Pat to remove the nest over the winter, and they did not decide to make a new one. Or at least not yet, anyway. At any rate we have robins in our yard every day, pulling up worms, so I imagine they're nesting nearby. I love watching them out our kitchen window -- they're so cute!
