When I was in California a couple of weeks ago I bought a Lens Baby, which is a novelty lens that gives you more or less the effect of a tilt-shift lens, for a lot less money. And it was on sale! How could I pass it up?!? I've been wanting a Lens Baby for years but just never got around to buying one, so when I saw this one for so cheap, I couldn't resist. Of course, as soon as I got home I spent several days playing around with it. As you can see, it makes even the most mundane objects look arty-farty. Ha ha! Here are a few favorites from my new toy.
My friend Mark, who will hereafter be known as Arty Farty Mark because of this picture.
Of course, a self- portrait was necessary!

It worked nicely on the portrait, you should make a series with the lensbaby.
Looks like you'll have fun with it!
I have always wanted to try one of these. Fun shots!
It's fun, Randy! But obviously it's kind of a novelty thing, so I won't be using it all that much. I'm having a good time with it. I've used it on two engagement portrait sessions already! (For just a handful of shots.)
Fun!
