Yes, it's hot. Obnoxiously hot. We've had a cold and dreary spring and early summer, but we all knew this was going to come sooner or later: temperatures in the nineties, and feeling sweaty and stinky and gross. I took this picture of a giant icicle on my house on March 2nd (a day that topped out at 38°F), a mere three and-a-half months ago, and I didn't blog it then because I knew that there would be a day this summer when we all complained about the heat. So let's not forget how cold it was, and how much snow we got not all that long ago! And even though it's been hot and dry the last few days, let's thank our lucky stars and Mother Nature that we haven't been plagued by any forest fires so far this summer. Hooray!

Yes, at this time, the fire in the mountains ... can happen more easily.
Tomás.
Such a good reminder! Way to think ahead! Yes, thankful for all of the moisture we've had and going to be positive today about the heat. :) Kelly
Ah, refreshing!
Same here. Way too hot even for Florida.
That would feel cool right now.
