This fantastic mural on the north side of the Albany Hotel not only looks interesting, it sounds interesting! Painted by local artist Kim Polomka, the mural was commissioned by the Murphy brothers, John and Chuck, both of them well known businessmen around town (unrelated fact: I shot John Murphy's daughter's wedding several years ago!). The Murphys, who own the building, wanted to include period-appropriate sound effects to accompany the mural, so Polomka created a two-minute track of train noises that plays once per hour between 8:00am and 8:00pm. I've never managed to be there when the sounds are playing, but if you'd like to hear them, watch this quick little video HERE.

It stands out beautifully!
It is not easy to paint a train on a wall.
Tomás.
So neat! I wish more businesses would do this.
