Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

Cocoa-Brain?

There is a local homeless guy called Cocoa-Brain who likes to put random stuffed animals in the tree outside of Wooglin's Deli. I've never seen him but I've seen the tree and was puzzled by it. I was taking a picture of it one day several months ago, and a friend who happens to work in the hair salon next door to Wooglin's told me about him. I ultimately deemed the picture unworthy so I didn't blog it. Then a few weeks ago, I noticed this art installation behind Wooglin's. Naturally I took pictures! I assumed it was student art, since Wooglin's is a favorite haunt of CC students. But upon closer inspection, prepping these pictures for the blog, I saw the name Cocoa-Brain. A ha! Maybe this is his handiwork! This is far more elaborate than the random-stuffed-animals-in-a-tree thing that he usually does. Possibly it really is student work, done in homage to Cocoa-Brain, but I like to think it's the master himself. One day maybe I'll catch him in the act. That'd be a good picture!

What a great art mystery.

I am certainly glad I took the time to read your commentary as I had no idea what the picture was or the title. But of course, it all makes sense now. Perhaps this would be appropriate for September's theme--curiosities?

Very unusual! Yes, it would suit the upcoming theme.
