The other day I did a photo shoot at Gateway Park on the far northeast side of town. It's in a newer subdivision that's far from my usual stomping grounds. Gateway is a unique park. The waterfall itself is striking, and it's fronted by a large, shallow reflecting pool girded by an expanse of lush, green lawn and a pavilion up above. I like it for photo shoots because it's dramatic (despite being surrounded by large homes, which I can work around) and it gets great light in the afternoon. Quite a cool backdrop, but it's also just a nice place to hang out, relax and enjoy the sound of rushing water.
