On Sunday night we went to the overlook on Mesa, anticipating a beautiful sunset. All of the ingredients were there. A storm had passed over us, leaving dramatic clouds in its wake; I simply needed to wait for just the right moment to begin shooting. But alas, the sun did what it so often does: it slid anonymously behind the mountains with a whisper instead of a scream. Even so, you can see how lovely and soft the light was. Sunset or no sunset, the golden hour gives you the most beautiful light of the day.

Really beautiful.
Still a fine Summer evening scene.
It still makes for a gorgeous shot!
