Fly, robin, fly

Another funny bird picture! This one was taken in our backyard on July 1st. I looked outside and saw this fat little robin sitting there. He looked like he was about to tip over! It was pretty cute. I assume he was in the process of learning to fly when he ended up in our new rose garden. He picked a good spot to crash land -- Pat recently replaced all the soil, so it's nice and cushy. I got a couple of pictures of him before he flew off. He looks a little peeved at me for taking his picture in such an undignified moment (don't worry, I was quite a distance from him and used a telephoto lens). What a cute bird!
