Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. I love it here and I hope you enjoy seeing Colorado Springs through my eyes and lens!

The Magicube building

Do you remember Magicubes? Chances are, if you're a millenial, that word means nothing to you. But if you're like me and grew up in the '70s and '80s, you know exactly what I mean: a Magicube was the disposable flash that you'd stick on top of your Kodak Instamatic camera. It was shiny and shaped like, well, a cube. I've always thought this building off of Garden of the Gods Road looked like a giant Magicube. Also, I have a very fond memory of going to a party there when I was in college. The topmost floor was still unfinished and somehow my friends that were in a popular band managed to throw a huge, extremely loud bash up there (though I wonder if they actually had permission, which was something that I doubt was important to them or any of us, ha ha). It was a great time. I miss those days!
