I was doing a photo shoot at Red Rock Canyon a few days ago, and there were two fire trucks and an ambulance hanging around, along with a local news crew. My clients and I couldn't figure out what was going on, but it had to be bad for the news to be there, right? Later, my client found the news story and messaged it to me. It seems that a man jumped from the rocks above the quarry pond and injured himself (hell he didn't even land in the water). It was a very hot day, I can see why he wanted to cool off. This was a terrible idea, however. I know it looks pretty in this picture, but that water is murky, greenish-brown and disgusting! And certainly it's not deep enough for cliff jumping. There's no way you could get me to wade in it, let alone jump in from a great height. What a fool!
