Welcome to Colorado Springs Daily Photo!

Hi, I'm Tamera, a professional wedding, portrait and boudoir photographer in Colorado Springs. But this blog isn't about my professional work; no, it's a daily love note to my beautiful city, where I've lived for most of my life. Cacao Chemistry

Over the weekend I stumbled upon a gourmet chocolatier in Colorado Springs! Actually it's a chocolatier and a patisserie, which is even better! It's called Cacao Chemistry and you can find it at 109 N. Tejon, across the street from Zeezo's, if you know where that is. I cannot overstate how excited I was to find this place (I'm a little late to the party as usual; it turns out they've been on Tejon for a couple of years). Gourmet chocolate making isn't just a craft, it's an art form, and if you've ever been to France or Switzerland, you know that mass produced American chocolate is downright sad compared to what you can buy over there. So to be able to find hand crafted chocolates right here in Colorado Springs, well... all I can say is YES! Just look at the top photo. Those are whiskey cherry cordials, and that's actual gold brushed onto the tops. They're little masterpieces! If you're a chocolate lover and you live in Colorado Springs, definitely go to Cacao Chemistry. And if you're not a downtown habitué, go to their website and scroll down for a list of where else you can buy these delicious morsels, or you can just order directly and have them delivered.
They don't just sell chocolate, they sell cookies too, and macarons. MACARONS! Doesn't that just make you sooooo happy?!?
The next time you're on Tejon and you see this sign, do not walk past it! Go inside, support a local business, and buy yourself a tasty treat!
